Little Smokie Pigs in a Blanket Appetizer

Whether you are still trying to decide what app to bring to your Christmas or New Years Party, we have you covered! One of the easiest recipes that will sure to be a huge hit and can be used for any occasion or even a simple kid friendly meal!

If you are like me, when the holidays are already busy enough, I love to go for at least one option that is a quick make, that the kids can enjoy as well as help prepare! This appetizer checked all those things off the list.

My oldest is always wanting to jump right in to help bake or cook anything which brings so much joy to my momma heart and makes me feel so special to have this one on one time with him, much like I would with my dad and grandpa growing up. We are all about having fun when cooking and trying new recipes! Best part about this recipe is that you can have fun arranging them to match the holiday occasion. For Christmas, you can do a wreath or Christmas Tree.

You will only need a few ingredients for this recipe:

-A package of little smokies

-Pillsbury Original Dough Sheet (makes 18 pigs in a blanket)

-1 egg

Directions:

1. Set oven to 350 degrees

2. Take dough out of package and cut into thirds first, then in 6 smaller rectangles.

3. Take 1 lil smokie at a time and roll with dough and place on baking sheet.

4. Whisk egg and brush egg on dough.

5. Back for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve with your favorite sauce, ketchup, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce and enjoy!
